January 23, 2026

The snowstorm will begin hitting Clearfield County by afternoon on Saturday. The snow will get heavier throughout the day and overnight into Sunday. Sunday will be the heaviest snow throughout the day. As we approach evening, on Sunday, the snow will switch over to rain for a period, before returning to snow for the rest of Sunday night into Monday morning. We can expect 16-18 inches by the end of the event. Clearfield County should see the end of the snow event between 12:00 and 1:00 pm on Monday afternoon.
Once the snowstorm has passed, on Monday, we will experience a sudden temperature drop that will see several days with temperatures as low as -15. Tuesday, Wednesday will be around 0 and Thursday and Friday will be as low as -15.
The following list are locations that will be open for warming centers during the snow event from January 24 to January 26 2026. Times will be dependent upon need. However, due to the expected call volume during the event, these locations will be staffed throughout the duration.

Once the storm is occurring, and after it has passed, we will have a good outlook on infrastructure conditions that were affected. These locations will be distributed as they occur.
